The terms that apply when you browse and use the CodeArc Labs website, its content and its AI assistant.

Last updated: April 17, 2024

01Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service are a legal agreement between you and CodeArc Labs (“CodeArc Labs”, “we”, “us”). They govern how you may access and use this website and everything on it, including the text, information, data, software, visual content and the AI assistant. Nothing in these terms gives rights or benefits to any third party.

Please read them carefully. By browsing or using the site you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and agree to follow them and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

02Changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue the website or any of its content at any time, and we may update these terms by posting a new version here. The “Last updated” date shows the latest revision. Your continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms, so please review them from time to time.

03Using the website

You may use the website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • interfere with or disrupt the website, its servers or its security features;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its systems or other users' data;
  • use automated means to overload the site or to copy it in bulk;
  • submit content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive or infringes anyone's rights.

04Our right to restrict access

We may suspend or end your access to the website at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, if a lawful authority asks us to, or for security or operational reasons. We are not liable to you or to anyone else for doing so.

05Copyright and ownership

The website and its content, including text, graphics, layout, code, icons and the way they are arranged, are owned by CodeArc Labs or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute or create derivative works from the content, or remove technical protections, without our prior written permission. To ask for permission, contact us through the contact page.

06Use of site content

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to view the site and to share or print its marketing content for your own internal business use, provided that you do not change it and you keep all copyright and ownership notices. Any other use needs our prior written consent.

07Trademarks

“CodeArc Labs”, the CodeArc logo and related names and marks are the property of CodeArc Labs. You may not use them without our prior permission. Other product and company names mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners, and mentioning them does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by them.

08AI assistant

The assistant is provided for general information about our services. It uses a third-party AI model, so it can be wrong or out of date. Its answers are not advice, an offer, a quote or a commitment, and nothing it says forms a contract with us.

Please do not share sensitive information in the chat. Use of the assistant is also subject to our Privacy Policy. We may limit or change the assistant at any time.

09Information, not advice

Content on this website is general information. It does not create a client relationship or an obligation to provide services. Any project we undertake is governed by a separate written agreement that sets out scope, timeline, fees and ownership.

10Electronic communications

By using the website or contacting us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically, for example by email, and that these communications satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CodeArc Labs will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, business interruption or loss of data, arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website, even if we have been told such damages are possible, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise.

13Disclaimer

The website and all information on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Content may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors, and we may change it at any time without notice. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Virginia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
